A handmade mini calendar featuring a unicorn surrounded by rowan leaves and berries and harebells.   In Scotland it has always been considered lucky to plant a rowan tree at the front of a house as protection against bad spirits.  The unicorn is the national animal for Scotland and holds a shield with a birch tree, another symbol of protection amongst other beliefs in Celtic tradition.
 
The calendar hangs from a black velvet ribbon and the paper calendar can be replaced the following year.
